Jungle Stone, a new luxury estate situated within the Virgin Island National Park, is arguably the finest villa in the Virgin Islands. Located in the exclusive freehold of Catherineberg, Jungle Stone is perched 400 feet above Cinnamon Bay Beach and the scenic North Shore Road, with views sweeping over the azure waters of the Park cays and reefs, and beyond to the British Virgin Islands. The villa and its Pebble Cottage are set within one-plus acres of lush and exotic gardens, and surrounded by the dense Park forest lands. The gated circular drive leads guests to the main 4 bedroom-suite villa, Jungle Stone and its attendant 1 bedroom guest cottage, The Pebble. Guests may choose to reserve the Pebble in addition to the main house, but the Pebble is never rented alone or separately, to ensure the privacy of the compound. Jungle Stone offers a spacious Great Room with peaked beamed ceilings of exposed stained wooden shakes and rafters, and with polished teak floors. There is a large sitting area with a Bang & Olufsen sound system and a 53" plasma TV, comfortable sofas, chairs and chaise lounges. A beautiful round dining table seats 10 easily. Custom painted floor cloths set off the furnishings as does the custom mahogany hutch with wet bar, ice maker, mini-fridge and wine cooler. The villa is filled with works of art, both by local and international artists, including a specially commissioned stain glass panel. All work together to create a casually sophisticated West Indies ambiance. The chef's dream kitchen has slate floors, granite counters, mahogany cupboards and stainless gas appliances, along with every convenience a cook could imagine, including 2 dishwashers, ice-maker, a refrigerator and a separate freezer. Off the kitchen is a lovely deck, perfect for morning coffee or late night desserts, surrounded with tropic flowering shrubs, and leading to an herb garden and fruit orchard. There is also a dedicated barbecue balcony with a 53"� Viking grill. From the Great Room, guests can choose between three very different outside spaces. There is a breezeway that connects the courtyard gardens with the ocean-side veranda. The breezeway offers a custom mahogany shuffleboard table, a portable wicker bar and comfortable seating. The poolside Veranda provides plenty of spots to sit, relax and enjoy the Caribbean breezes while overlooking the pool and the beautiful North Shore views. The third option is the wonderful Loggia, the preferred outdoor gathering place, with a large, cushy seating area, and an exotic hardwood dining table for 10. This outdoor living room has lovely arched openings to the mesmerizing sea views and breezes, with a mahogany coffered ceiling and gently whirring ceiling fans. There are 2 powder rooms at either end of the villa, and the Veranda has an outdoor shower to rinse off pool water and suntan lotion. All three outdoor seating areas lead to the pool, the teak sundeck, and the jacuzzi spa. Coral stone surrounds the heated pool, there is a delightfully splashing waterfall, and finally, there is a pool bar area with sink, mini-fridge and ice-maker. You'll never want to leave the villa, despite the lure of the beautiful island beaches! Jungle Stone has four air- conditioned luxurious bedroom suites, each different, each with its own West Indian character, and each with it's own private entry. On the west side of the villa, you'll find the Treehouse Suite and the Blue Lagoon Suite. The Blue Lagoon, on the main level off the breezeway, has an inviting king bed, a screened porch on the garden side, and an ocean-side balcony that leads out to the pool. The bathroom has a double porcelain pedestal sink and a semi-al fresco shower looking into the porch and jungle beyond. There is a twin-size daybed providing a relaxing spot for an afternoon read, or for a young child. Climbing an outside staircase brings you to the Treehouse Suite perched among the tree tops as the name implies.
